Activity Description

This activity is designed to provide updated information on recent publications and clinical trials involving the use of CDK4/6 inhibitors and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) in breast cancer. This activity will provide information on new indications of CDK4/6 inhibitors based on the PATINA trial.

It will also provide information on new indications of the ADCs sacituzumab govitecan, fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan, and datopotamab deruxtecan based on the ASCENT-03, ASCENT-04, DESTINY Breast-05, DESTINY Breast-09, and TROPION Breast-02 trials. Additionally, information on safety of the covered medications will be reviewed.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe changes to the role of CDK4/6 inhibitors in hormone receptor (HR)-positive/HER2-positive breast cancer.
  2. Characterize the expanding role of fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan-nxki across HER2-positive breast cancer.
  3. Discuss the efficacy and safety of Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) in metastatic triple-negative breast cancer.
  4. Recognize clinically significant adverse events and intervention strategies associated with novel ADCs and CDK4/6 inhibitors.
