Andrea Nelson, CPhT

Andrea is a Certified Pharmacy Technician, financial advocate, and passionate patient advocate who has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate the financial complexities of cancer treatment. For the past nine years, she has served patients at Nebraska Cancer Specialists, where she works to connect individuals with oral medications, financial assistance, and resources they need to focus on their health.

She has a compassionate approach and genuine desire to help others, Andrea finds purpose in building meaningful relationships with patients and their families. She takes pride in being a trusted resource and advocate, helping to remove barriers of financial toxicity and ensuring that patients feel heard, valued, and supported.

Andrea has been an active member of NCODA & OPTA since 2019 and currently serves as an NCODA Regional Leader. Collaborating with oncology professionals across the country to share best practices, improve access to care, and advance patient-centered oncology services. Outside of work Andrea enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
