About John
John Long is a retired higher education and operations executive with extensive leadership experience in university administration, infrastructure, and strategic operations. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the University of Delaware, following leadership roles at the University of South Florida and other major institutions. A retired U.S. Air Force officer, John directed complex global logistics and operational initiatives, including support for Air Force One missions. He holds advanced degrees in human resource management and strategic studies and has completed executive leadership training at Harvard University. John brings deep expertise in organizational strategy, public-private partnerships, facilities development, and operational excellence to the NCODA Board.
