Professional Student Organization (PSO)

The NCODA PSO is a global community for healthcare students passionate about oncology and the pharmaceutical industry. Our focus is to educate, empower, and connect the next generation of oncology leaders through meaningful opportunities in clinical education, research, leadership, and community outreach.

Shaping the Future of Oncology—Together

NCODA PSO offers students a dynamic platform to collaborate with professionals across all areas of oncology—including providers, pharmacists, researchers, advocates, and industry partners. Through mentorship, hands-on experiences, and national engagement, members gain valuable insights and practical skills that prepare them for impactful careers in cancer care. Whether you’re exploring a future in clinical oncology or shaping innovation in industry, NCODA PSO is where your journey begins.

Why Get Involved in NCODA PSO?

As a member, you will gain access to all of our member tools, libraries, and resources, which can help guide your studies. PSOs also give students opportunities to practice leadership skills while networking with national and international leaders in oncology.

Stay ahead with cutting-edge oncology content, white papers, and clinical tools used by professionals in real-world settings.

Take on active roles within the PSO, participate in national meetings, and gain hands-on experience through student-led initiatives and committees.

Connect with oncology professionals, NCODA members, and fellow students across the country to build lasting relationships and gain career insight.

Learn about competitive internship programs, residencies, fellowships, and career pathways within oncology and related sectors.

Attend NCODA international conferences, hold a leadership position on the PSO International Executive Board, and work with oncology professionals across the world to develop patient resources.

Each NCODA PSO chapter receives support including no local or national membership fees, a yearly stipend, customizable bylaws, a branded tablecloth for events, and NCODA promotional items for meetings and outreach.

The Importance of Oncology Education and Exposure

Many curriculums offer limited opportunities to learn about oncology. This limited experience makes it difficult for students to develop a passion for this dynamic and exciting field. Having access to an NCODA Professional Student Organization chapter allows students to become engaged with the field of oncology early in their careers. NCODA helps shape students’ understanding of oncology and their essential role as future healthcare providers.
