A Retrospective Analysis: Montelukast Prophylaxis to Support Patient-Centered Oncology Care

Infusion-related reactions remain a concern with initial rituximab treatment, even with standard premedications. In a retrospective study of 106 patients across Texas Oncology sites, adding montelukast was associated with a significantly lower rate of reactions: 13% compared with 40.4% among patients receiving standard premedications alone.
