Activity Description

Prostate cancer is a hormonally mediated disease that affects a large percentage of men. Providers and patients have many medication treatment options including hormonal manipulations, anti-androgens, CYP17 inhibitors, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. This activity will provide learners an overview of the elements of prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as review the multiple recent medication approvals for the treatment of metastatic disease and their adverse effects.
