Student Educational Talks (SETs) are back for the new school year!
We’re kicking things off with an inspiring session from NMDP (formerly Be The Match®) that shows how students can directly impact the future of cancer care.
For patients with blood cancers and over 75 other diseases, a stem cell or marrow transplant may be their only hope for a cure. But without a committed donor, that hope is lost. This is where students like you—and your PSO—can make a real difference.
In this session, you’ll learn:
- Who NMDP is and how they save lives every day
- What really happens during a stem cell or marrow transplant (it’s not what most people think)
- How your PSO can take action on campus and add potential donors to the registry
- Why committed donors are vital to giving patients a second chance at life
