Commitment To Patient-Centered Care

Oncology pharmacy technicians play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered cancer care, but their specialized responsibilities require tailored education and training. While a few professional development options exist, none are designed specifically for the unique demands of oncology pharmacy practice.

NCODA’s Oncology Pharmacy Technician Association (OPTA) is proud to bridge this gap by offering the first-ever certification program built exclusively for oncology pharmacy technicians. This program supports the evolving needs of pharmacy technicians and ensures they are equipped to provide the best possible care to their patients, teams, and institutions.

“I feel honored to be one of the first technicians to receive OPTA’s new Oncology  Pharmacy Technician Certification. Receiving this certification provides me with confidence in the work that I do for oncology patients. It brings value to the practice and demonstrates to the providers that I am dedicated to my role and knowledgeable in oncology.”
