Patient Care Resources
Delivering exceptional oncology care starts with access to clear, reliable, and patient-focused resources. NCODA’s Patient Care Resources are developed to strengthen provider-patient communication, promote treatment adherence, and ensure patients feel informed and supported at every step of their cancer journey. From Oral Chemotherapy Education (OCE) Sheets and IV Education (IVE) Sheets, to Treatment Support Kits and the Crush/Suspension Directory, each tool is built with clinical insight and practical application in mind. Explore our full suite of evidence-informed materials—including the Cost Avoidance and Waste Tracker (CAWT) and other essential tools—to enhance your ability to deliver safe, personalized, and compassionate care.

Cost Avoidance & Waste Tracker
NCODA’s proprietary CAWT tool measures cost avoidance within an MID versus the waste produced by specialty and mail-order pharmacies. Just input your practice’s data and this simple web tool calculates your cost and waste numbers in a simple visual format. Because it’s easy to use and simplifies sharing individual and compiled data, it helps make a case for the Medically Integrated Dispensary.

Practical Tools That Make a Real Difference
Whether you’re counseling a patient on a new therapy, adjusting treatment plans, or tracking medication waste, NCODA’s resources are designed to integrate seamlessly into your workflow. These tools not only save time—they support better conversations, better decisions, and ultimately, better patient outcomes.

NCODA’s Treatment Support Kits (TSKs) provide patients and caregivers with educational resources and products to help improve medication adherence and compliance during treatment with anti-cancer medications. Treatment Support Kits are a supportive kit for cancer patients. Each TSK contains educational information as well as useful products for managing adverse events. By providing these resources to patients and caregivers, TSKs help prevent patients from discontinuing therapy prematurely.
Patient surveys help determine satisfaction levels for patients of NCODA member practices with medically integrated pharmacies (MIP). Since 2017, NCODA has been collecting survey data as a standardized method of benchmarking patient satisfaction in an MIP compared with other services in the industry. Published results as of March 2024, the survey identified a 93.1 Net Promoter Score (NPS)* average for MIPs. In addition, 97% of patients state they would prefer to fill their oral oncology and/or supportive care medications at their MIP vs. an external mail-order specialty pharmacy.
Please view the example surveys below and contact NCODA to get your practice involved in collecting this important data that supports the MIP model.
*Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a metric used to identify overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Our OCE resource sheets include not only drug-specific information but also cover other topics related to navigating cancer treatment. For example, OCE sheets can help patients manage treatment side effects, understand common insurance terms, and even track their treatments using a templated specialty treatment calendar.
All of our resource sheets are available for print and download. While in their electronic format, the documents are also editable, allowing patients, caregivers, and physicians to customize recommendations or add specific notes and contact information for patient communication.
Intravenous Cancer Treatment Education (IVE) is an NCODA conceived, collaboratively executed resource to provide information about IV chemotherapy drugs and their side effects to both cancer patients and caregivers.
Having cancer or caring for someone with it can be overwhelming; finding reliable information about the medicines needed to fight cancer should not be a difficult, frustrating process.
The goal of Intravenous Cancer Treatment Education Sheets is to provide a tool to caregivers they can pass on to their patients with cancer that will answer drug related questions and help empower patients to become a more active participant in their cancer treatment.
The Financial Assistance tool is an NCODA initiative that provides up to date and comprehensive financial resource information about dozens of chemotherapy and cancer care treatment options. Available in the NCODA member portal in a convenient online format and also as a downloadable excel spreadsheet.
The Financial Assistance Tool is a ready resource for oncology caregivers to assist their patients struggling to pay for cancer treatment. Many types and levels of assistance are available from major pharmaceutical companies to not-for-profit organizations.

Oral Oncolytics Crush/Suspension Directory
Swallowing medications whole can be challenging for certain patients. Crushing medications or mixing them into a suspension can help with the administration. However, locating this information quickly can be time-consuming for busy healthcare professionals. The Oral Oncolytic Crush/Suspension Tool simplifies this process by offering a consolidated summary of current data, ensuring that healthcare teams have easy access to reliable information.
