Bio

Dr. Christopher Elder, Pharm.D., BCOP is currently an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Palm Beach Atlantic University Gregory School of Pharmacy and collaborates with Cleveland Clinic Florida for his practice site as an oncology pharmacist. Dr. Elder completed his undergraduate work with a B.S. in biochemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University, followed by completing his doctor of pharmacy degree at South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, Georgia. With a strong passion for patient care and clinical pharmacy, Dr. Elder completed both a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency and a PGY-2 hematology/oncology residency at Cone Health in Greensboro, NC. He is board-certified in oncology pharmacy by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. His areas of expertise and research interests include: oral chemotherapy management, patient education, patient safety, and immuno-oncology. Dr. Elder has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals including JACCP, JOPP, and JHOP. For the last several years, Dr. Elder has created and delivered content related to oncology supportive care for ACCP’s Pharmacotherapy Board Certification/Recertification Prep Course. He has been an invited speaker for multiple organizations including ACCP, FPA, ASHP and FSHP and continues to serve on the legislative committee for FLASCO.
