WHY DID YOU JOIN NCODA?
NCODA provides leadership, expertise and sharing of best practices for community oncology physician dispensing practices. By delivering oncology medications directly as part of the practice, we can address the need as a cancer patient advocate and contribute to more positive outcomes. We believe NCODA will help us achieve that goal.
HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE MORE INVOLVED WITH NCODA?
There is a constant need for raising awareness of the benefits that community oncology can provide to oncology stakeholders, such as payers. Remaining active in promoting the organizations’ mission around the country as well as recruiting other institutions to join NCODA is a continuous pursuit of ours.
WHAT ARE SOME CHALLENGES YOU FACE NOW OR WILL FACE IN THE FUTURE OF ONCOLOGY?
The largest challenge the field of Oncology inherently holds is the need for providers to adapt to a dynamic field. As cancer treatments continue to evolve, it is important to remain current with treatment regimens through steady contact with Oncologists. The challenge of sustaining in-office continuity of care that is driven by patient outcomes will continue to persist in the future.
