Working Together Globally

NCODA has forged strong partnerships with several international oncology organizations that are working to improve patient care. With our unwavering commitment and a shared vision for the future of oncology care, we will accelerate meaningful change worldwide.

The British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA) was founded in the autumn of 1996 and grew out of the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA). The purpose of BOPA, which is a registered charity, is to promote excellence in the pharmaceutical care of patients with cancer through education, communication, research, and innovation by an alliance of hospital, community and academic pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, those in the pharmaceutical industry and other healthcare professionals. BOPA’s principal objective is to promote excellence in the pharmaceutical care of patients with cancer, thereby improving their quality of life.

The Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology (CAPhO) is a member-directed association that promotes, supports, and advances oncology pharmacy practice. CAPhO is a recognized leader of oncology pharmacy in Canada, with members including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, assistants, and students. CAPhO supports the provision of safe and effective oncology pharmacy services to oncology patients. Mentorship, education, and research support are some of the ways that CAPhO contributes to member professional development. CAPhO advocates for oncology pharmacy excellence through collaboration and engagement with healthcare providers, patients, and other organizations.

The European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP) represents more than 27.000 hospital pharmacists in 36 European countries, and is the only association of national organizations representing hospital pharmacists at European and international levels. EAHP represents and develops the hospital pharmacy profession within Europe in order to ensure the continuous improvement of care and outcomes for patients in the hospital setting. This is achieved through science, research, education, practice, as well as sharing best-practice and responsibility with other healthcare professionals.

The International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) exists to advance oncology pharmacy care for patients around the world. ISOPP members share a common interest: providing optimal drug therapy to cancer patients. They are pharmacists practicing in a variety of settings who provide clinical pharmacy and/or cytotoxic preparation services for cancer patients. ISOPP takes a special interest in the prevention and/or management of toxicities associated with cancer treatment. ISOPP members are also involved in clinical and laboratory-based research, education and management. ISOPP’s mission is to advance Oncology Pharmacy Care for Patients throughout the World. We believe that we can improve the lives of those touched by cancer by advancing Oncology Pharmacy Care throughout the world through engagement and mobilization of the Oncology Pharmacy Community.
