“I feel honored to be one of the first technicians to receive OPTA’s new Oncology Pharmacy Technician Certification. Receiving this certification provides me with confidence in the work that I do for oncology patients. It brings value to the practice and demonstrates to the providers that I am dedicated to my role and knowledgeable in oncology.”

Commitment To Patient-Centered Care
Oncology pharmacy technicians require specific training and education to best suit their role, patients, colleagues, and their practice. Although a few professional development programs exist, the current offerings are not specific to the role of an oncology pharmacy technician. NCODA’s Oncology Pharmacy Technician Association (OPTA) is best poised to address this unmet need and offer the first-ever Oncology Pharmacy Technician Certification Program.
“I am thrilled to be a Certified Oncology Pharmacy Technician. Technician certification ensures proper training & education which ultimately benefits our patients, and that is really what we’re all here for!”
– Nora Hansen, CPhT, COPhT, Illinois Cancer Specialist
